The last port of the voyage: Mandal and the Shellfish Festival

After an extra day in Sandefjord due to the storm “Hans”, and just over a day back on the sea, Hestmanden finally arrived at Mandal and Ballastbrygga on Thursday. Just in time for the Shellfish Festival. And with that, this year’s sailing and tour was over. We sign off, and at the same time would like to extend a big thank you to the wonderful crew (our new family) on board the S/S Hestmanden. We are deeply grateful!

Ahoy! Set course for Moss!

The journey to Moss was the best of the tour so far! We boarded Hestmanden in Horten, and got to join the crossing to Moss. Also in Moss, we got to meet the audience for three days, and at the last performance had a great visit from actor Helge Jordal and writer Tania Michelet. Take a look at our Ship’s Log below for some glimpses of our days in Moss.

Norwegian premiere and a new international collaboration

In September, we have the great pleasure of presenting a Norwegian premiere: DOG/ACTOR. The show consists of two short, explosive, and comedic plays written by Steven Berkoff. The production is produced by the English theatre company Threedumb Theatre, led by Stephen Smith, and had its world premiere at Pump House Theatre in Watford in 2018. The hope is that this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful international collaboration with several exciting projects, both in Norway and in England.
